Wind Direction Indicator 1 has a unique Spaceshuttle look, second One features a sleek 911 Turbo style. Design your own! A complete.stp file is included for easy modifications. You'll need 2 x 608 bearings, 2 M8 nuts, 1 M8 nyloc nut, 1 M8 threaded rod and superglue to assemble the Stumphoppers Remix. First, fit the arms with superglue to the rotor. Make sure all parts are aligned in the same direction. Next, place 2 M8 nuts on the threaded rod and secure them at the perfect height. Then, attach the bottom of the rod, followed by the rotor with a spacer, then the top of the rod, and finally the direction indicator with a spacer. Secure it all with the nyloc nut. Take a look at the rotor and arms to ensure they're spinning horizontally. If not, use a small hammer to adjust them as needed. Finally, screw everything together carefully: Adjust the rod and nyloc nut on top to a uniform height and secure it using the 2 M8 nuts at the bottom. Give some gentle bumps to the rods' bottom ends to align the bearings and allow for smooth movement. Don't forget to counterweight! Now, simply find the perfect location, install it there, and wait for some wind. EDIT: Shortened the spacer for the direction indicator to 7mm and increased the rudder for better indication. Added my signature to the design. direction.stl and complete.stp files are now updated with these changes. EDIT 16.6.2019: Inspired by my classic 911 Turbo (930) from 1987, I designed an additional indicator feature. Supports are recommended for a sturdy assembly. An included 930.stp file allows you to design your own custom indicator. Share your creations and ideas with me! EDIT2 16.6.2019: Added an indicatorbase.stp file as a foundation for your designs. The black version showcases the necessary space for the top nut, with an indicator thickness of approximately 3mm. EDIT 22.6.2019: Introduced a Mobile Home Indicator design that prints flat and glues together easily. A .stp file is included for easy assembly.
