Wind Spinner #CatchTheWind
thingiverse
The Wind Spinner is specifically designed for operation on flat hard surfaces with an abundance of wind available. The panels on the wind catcher skillfully capture the wind and impart a rotational force upon its eight distinct wheels. To successfully assemble this fascinating device, one needs to start by printing out both a single wind catcher and a corresponding base. Additionally, you will require 8 separate units comprising wheels and axles. The first step in the assembly process involves carefully gluing the bottom of the wind catcher stick to the precise center of the base. Subsequent steps include guiding the axles through corresponding holes present on the base before securely fastening them using hot glue, poly cement or similar adhesives. Upon completing this procedure, each axle must be fitted with a wheel which is subsequently sealed into place using a small quantity of hot glue to prevent dislodgement. The final and most exhilarating stage involves placing the Wind Spinner on an adequately prepared hard surface, creating an artificial wind source if necessary, and then witnessing the sheer thrill as it commences its rotation!
