Wind powered marble machine
thingiverse
A fusion of Tulio Laanen's marble machine #3, thing 1385312 with tbuser's parametric gear set, thing 9454, and bbalogh's wind turbine set (2 vane open), thing 953049 comes together seamlessly. To get the full picture, visit their postings to see any information that may have been omitted. Two gears.stl and one of everything else should be printed. A video demonstrates the project's capabilities. Print Settings: Printer Brand - Robo 3D; Printer Model - R1 ABS + PLA Model; Rafts - No; Infill - 25%. Notes: Low resolution was used for "Track.stl", while medium resolution was applied to everything else. "Spiral.stl" and "Track.stl" were printed with no supports. Post-Printing: The turbine is secured together by glue. Ensure the turbinelink.stl is attached to savonius_2v_open.stl (the one featuring vanes). The gear set "brace2" is 1mm wider than "brace", allowing for smoother movement. "brace2" passes through the arm, and gears must turn freely. A notch was cut from the base of the marble machine track, then JB weld was applied to attach the arm to the marble machine track.
