Wind Energy Stored In Gravity (more clearance)
thingiverse
I made a few modifications to hyperplanemike's incredible design that really pay off. I increased clearance between parts for smoother assembly and movement. I also created two new components to keep the base3 part in position while collecting wind and harnessing energy. Check out the description below for details, happy printing! These are the parts I tweaked: lever: made a hole bigger for a looser fit base2: enlarged holes for rack_gear clearance and base4, base1: increased hole size for base4 and cut out a hole for gear1 clearance base3: enlarged hole size for rack_gear clearance and cut a hole for fan_gear clearance base4: added holes for base_3_stopper (new part) Here are the new parts: base3_stopper: keeps base 3 in either collecting or harvesting position base3_brace: print two and glue to base2 to prevent base3 from lifting while collecting All other parts can be found on the original Thing post at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:952564 Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator+ Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30% Notes: Used 30% infill on all parts, except 50% on the rack_gear part.
