This redesigned model for the UP! extruder's windbarrier enhances cooling, aiding in faster layer solidification (particularly beneficial for ABS) and reduced PLA slump when going supportless. A damper bar allows users to regulate cooling air flow according to their machine's needs. Additionally, the design includes a mount point for a Mitutoyo dial test indicator to aid with build plate leveling. The original file can be found at 3dprintingsystems.com/support/. This model was remodeled in SolidWorks 2010. To install, print both parts and add an M2 x 16 lg SHCS. If warping or layer separation is an issue, close the damper by tightening the screw. Conversely, if raft and support removal prove difficult, open the damper to reduce cooling air flow.
