Aluminum tape is used to cut sectors, while copper wire forms collectors with springs to transfer charge to Leyden jars made from Kapton tape. The spark gap utilizes printer forks or balls, and conductive spacers connect the gap to capacitor plates. Assembly is straightforward, and this project serves as a proof of concept rather than a perfect machine, encouraging experimentation.
