WiModem Case for C64

I designed a custom case for my C64 with interchangeable face plates that let me personalize it to my liking. The existing WiModem case was good, but I wanted something more eye-catching. To make this happen, I created three different face plate designs and included them in the files. To give you an idea of what they look like, I printed and painted two examples. The acrylic rods used for the light on the board fit perfectly into 2.5mm holes on the face plates. You can simply measure a length, snap them off, and then polish the ends with finer sandpaper. Next, add some superglue to the inside of the tube and secure it in place. The case is designed so that the face plate can be easily removed or glued permanently in place, depending on your preference. The modem board will come out via two screws in front, making it easy to access. Two #4 1/2in metal screws hold the modem board in place. These screws are long enough to create their own threads as you screw them in. Just tighten them snugly, and be careful not to overdo it – stripping the hole is a common mistake.
