The pump features safe design elements, such as clearance for hand movement and a rubber coupling that provides soft pressure to keep hands away from hazardous areas. It's also designed with durability and resilience in mind; its self-lubricating bearings and shafts are replaceable, and it can withstand sand and debris without damage. A screen on the spout prevents sticks and rocks from entering, while a blocked outlet directs water out the top to clean the linear guide simultaneously. Despite being a complex project involving machining, plasma cutting, welding, and costs, both the kids and creator are delighted with the result.
