WIlson's Anycubic Photon Gasket FEP leak protector
thingiverse
Anxious about a serious resin leak happening one day? This gasket will sit around the edge of the print area and provide a surface on which you can apply tape in order to prevent resin heading off into the electrics of your beloved machine. Kapton tape is popular for holding down the screen at the edges, and should do fine for also covering the recessed holes and the door magnet, too, making a cleanup in the event of a disaster slightly less of a nightmare. Double-sided tape on the underside, or some kind of sealant around the edge may be possible, suggestions very welcome although I try to design mods that are completely reversible, so machines can be returned if still under warranty. Included in the download is a flat 3mm gasket with no chamfer/loft should you wish to extrude it to a specific height, and the 10mm version which has just a loft at the rear, in case you need to chop holes for heater cables etc with minimum fuss. The Upon close inspection you will realise that a severe hole in your FEP, or somebody moving your Photon while resin is still in the vat, will of course lead to resin running out of the front of the machine instead, and all over the touchscreen. Better than going inside the electrics, but what if there existed a small gutter to catch any leaked resin and divert it into a small container? See my other creation for the early test version!
