Wilson II
thingiverse
This is the Wilson II, a fresh design born out of improvements made to the Wilson TS. Among its changes are: * Every single smooth rod gets upgraded from 8mm to a more robust 10mm. * The Z axis now sports lead screws that swap in for threaded rods measuring 8mm. Its new upright frame stands tall on four corners: two vertical beams anchor one above the other, while two supporting members stretch beneath the Y axis - this gives it a level of stiffness we never knew before. Get ready to expand your build zone by an impressive 50%! One important detail you should keep in mind: with this revised design, no longer are the rod spacings exactly as they were on the Prusa i3. It's not just that lead screws and thicker rods now occupy their space - it also impacts how you choose which parts will work for this particular build.
