This is an original Pulaski axe, primarily employed in wildland firefighting operations. It's also commonly referred to as a pick ax. The axe can be assembled in two distinct ways: 1. By attaching the ax head to both the top and bottom pieces. 2. Alternatively, attach the ax head to one single handle. Using heat is an effective method to achieve a secure fit between the components.
