Wiimote Gun with captive pen spring trigger assembly
thingiverse
I didn't like how the original had a free-floating trigger assembly and how squishy the trigger was so I added a guide rod to support a spring from a pen (plus a recess on the body to keep it captive) and added a plate to stop the whole trigger assembly from falling out. I printed mine with the two halves and epoxied them together, just print them in the orientation shown and make sure your supports run along the length of the gun so they are easier to remove. If you want to print it in one solid piece check out the original model for the correct orientation. The trigger assembly printed fine in one piece but I added the halves if anyone wants to try it out that way. To put the spring in I just put the spring into the small recess area on the gun and then slipped it onto the guide rod on the trigger assembly. Then all you need to do is epoxy the trigger plate on top of it (making sure you don't get any caught in the trigger area). (I use a quick drying epoxy). Also make sure you sand the interior of the Wiimote holder, especially the trigger area. I just used a barrel sanding attachment on my Dremel and then cleaned it up with a sharp knife.
