Wii Wheel Sport Wall Mount
thingiverse
I recently printed out four of gerko87's Wii Wheels, specifically the "Sport" version, to enhance our game nights, but I didn't want to simply store them in a drawer somewhere. To solve this problem, I created a minimalist mount that allows us to display them on the wall. I prefer not to keep batteries inside the controllers because cleaning up after a battery leak is a hassle, so I included a designated space for storing them when the controller isn't in use. The intended method of securing the mount involves using typical thumb-tacks, which causes minimal damage to the wall. However, you can drill out the two holes to accommodate screws or other fasteners if you prefer. The holes are intentionally small, so be prepared to drill them out to match the diameter of your tacks, nails, or screws. This design can be printed on its back without supports, and you should add infill as needed to support the top layers. When it comes to the top/bottom solid layer count, select a number that suits your printer's capabilities - my prints didn't even require an infill layer on the backplate. I recommend setting three perimeters (inside to outside) for optimal results.
