Wii U Kiosk Parts

Gamestop is rapidly discarding their Wii U Kiosks in anticipation of the Nintendo Switch launch. I seized one of these discarded units and set out to transform it into a usable gaming system for my own setup. My first modification was designing a custom gamepad cord plug, which allowed me to neatly conceal the cord and maintain a clutter-free workspace. Next, I tackled the issue of exposed cut cord plugs by creating a protective cover to safeguard them from damage or dust accumulation. Moving on, I created a new lock latch that fits standard locks, ensuring a secure fit for users who purchase their own locks. I encourage anyone with a non-standard lock to notify me so I can make necessary adjustments to the design. Finally, I addressed the problem of recessed input by crafting a custom cover for the volume button, which helps prevent accidental presses and reduces wear on the button itself. However, it's worth noting that sound issues may still arise due to improper input settings; users can resolve this by holding down the button for 5-10 seconds before releasing it. While these modifications are not perfect, they should suffice for converting a Wii U Kiosk into a functional home gaming system. I've personally tested them on my unit and they work as intended, but I cannot guarantee a flawless fit for every user.
