Wii Controller Extension for GameCube controllers
thingiverse
Hi everyone! This model was designed to overcome the limitations of short controller lengths paired with a high console position. With very affordable controller extension cables, I was able to add approximately six feet and a neat controller hub. This is an easy print that should achieve good tolerances using a standard printer. It employs common self-tapping screws to securely clamp down the ports. Use three to four perimeters (shells) to increase the strength of the screw holes. If you encounter difficulties in achieving the desired tolerances, try scaling up or down by one to two percent based on the discrepancy. The cable extension that I used with this project is available at: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-8m-Controller-Extension-Cable-for-Nintendo-GameCube-Controller-Extension-Cable-for-GC-NI5L/32712823609.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dvJd7VD You can also access the open-sourced design on OnShape, an excellent Cloud CAD system: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/cc264b1a0087ecf362239508/w/7f12d079771a2b738588dbf6/e/f7fe79b822601fb4aa19ed22 Happy printing! Some afterthoughts. It took me three attempts to achieve proper alignment of the male end so that the clamps are tight, and it inserts into the four ports perfectly. The hub (female end) happened to be a perfect fit in my first print. So I apologize if it might not have the tolerance on your first print.
