<p>This case provides additional protection to a Microchip RN370 AAA serial to wifi dongle(same as wisnap AAA dongle).</p> <p>This covers up the dip configuration switches and the momentary button but once configured these aren't really required since the device awakens automatically when it senses serial traffic.</p> <p>A sliding part in the cover allows for access to the power port while keeping it protected when not charging the unit.</p> <p>I used a female wifi dongle with a gender changer screwed to the printed cover which gave me a male serial port. The jumpers inside the module were also changed to reflect this.</p> <p>The case provides significant protection compared to the stock case while also making it so no loads are transferred to the circuit board through the serial port. The case also provides some protection against moisture.</p> <h3> Instructions</h3> <p>(1) Print out all three parts.<br/> Natural PLA is best that way you can still see which LED status lights are on.<br/> (2) Screw mini gender changer to top cover.<br/> (3) Insert sliding cover part into bottom part groove.<br/> (4) Insert serial wifi adapter into bottom case so power port lines up with access port.<br/> (5) Assemble top cover to bottom cover and bolt together using 4 6X 1/2in metal screws.</p> Category: Electronics
