A router placed high on a wall should broadcast signal throughout the house more effectively than being positioned low on a table. This open design allows for the back of the router to be mounted against a cool surface to aid in cooling the router - this particular router becomes very hot when used by 5 or 6 devices at once, making heat dissipation crucial. This wall mount clip should work well for most similar wireless routers. It was designed specifically for Alcatel but is likely compatible with similar HTC routers. The Alcatel router measures 90 mm long and 14 mm thick. There's a marker on the printed wall mount object showing the center line for guiding pre-drill placement.
