Wifi Router Fan Cooler
thingiverse
This is my humble double fan wifi router cooler. I share it with pleasure with this very helpful community. I've found that with this cooler my old router seems to work better. You can put one or two 120mm fan. In my build I used a pair of 5V old/used fan savaged from old equipment I had in my components bin. Voltage was derived from router PS cutting cord and inserting a cheap chinese step down converter module to tune voltage and velocity. With two fans to move quite a lot of air . So low speed is enough and this helps reducing noise and consumption. To fix fans I used the same screws that were in the old equipment. Due to low velocity, I used only a pair of screws for each fan A protective grid is also provided. Thing was printer leg upside, with no support.
