WiFi Propeller Boat II

WiFi Propeller Boat II

After over 3000 hours of almost non-stop printing, I decided to shut down the Ultimaker 3 Extended for a much-overdue cleaning and maintenance. Surprisingly, after inspecting the belt, pulley, tightening, cleaning, and lubrication, only one part needed replacing - the Y axis head bearing. After sharing a video and some photographs, the helpful staff at both Ultimaker (thanks Matt!) and fbrc8 (thanks Erin and Joseph!) sent me a new bearing in just two days, and the Ultimaker 3 Extended was up and running again. WiFi Propeller Boat II is my second propeller-style boat design. I know it sounds familiar - after all, didn't I promise that WiFi Propeller Boat I would be my last boat design for the summer? But with the Ultimaker 3 Extended back in action, I decided to add a dual-extrusion wing and wing support, enlarge the stern-end hull size to accommodate the wing and wing support, lengthen the main axles to compensate for the increased hull size, and design a dual-extrusion cover. A word of warning: WiFi Propeller Boat II is designed to be "splash-resistant," not "waterproof." So if a rogue wave, grandchild, niece, nephew, or anyone else decides to take it for an underwater adventure, good luck! As usual, I might have forgotten a file or two - or who knows what else? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask; I'm happy to clarify anything. Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced with Cura 3.4.1, and printed in PLA on both the Ultimaker 2+ Extended and the Ultimaker 3 Extended.
