After over 3000 hours of almost continuous printing, I decided to shut down the Ultimaker 3 Extended for a much-needed cleaning and maintenance session. To my surprise, after examining the belts, pulleys, tightening them, cleaning, and lubricating, only one part needed replacing - the Y axis head bearing. After sending a video and several photographs, the fantastic staff at both Ultimaker (thanks Matt!) and fbrc8 (thanks Erin and Joseph!) had a new bearing delivered to my doorstep in just two days, and the Ultimaker 3 Extended was back up and running again. WiFi Propeller Boat II is my second propeller-style boat design. I know what you're thinking - didn't I say WiFi Propeller Boat I was my last boat design for the summer? Well, since the Ultimaker 3 Extended was back online, I decided to add a dual-extrusion wing and wing support, enlarge the stern end hull size to accommodate the wing and wing support, lengthen the main axles to compensate for the increased hull size, and finally design a dual-extrusion cover. A word of caution: I designed WiFi Propeller Boat II to be "splash-resistant," not "waterproof." So if a rogue wave or an overzealous grandchild decides to "submarine" WiFi Propeller Boat II, good luck! As usual, I probably forgot a file or two - who knows what else? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I make mistakes in abundance. Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced with Cura 3.4.1, and printed in PLA on both the Ultimaker 2+ Extended and the Ultimaker 3 Extended.
