WiFi Filament Weight Sensor with Web Based UI For $7 in Parts

I wanted to figure out how much filament I had left. That's when I started looking into the HX711 load cell sensor. However, most people just set it up to display the weight at their printer. I wanted to get that data from my phone, so I could keep track of it easily. I use OctoPrint, but it runs on a Linux PC, and the weight sensor plugin for OctoPrint requires the HX711 to be connected to RPi GPIO pins. So, I used the Wemos D1 Mini instead. That way, the whole thing is standalone, and anyone can use it - even people who aren't running OctoPrint. They just need a web browser on their phone or tablet. I'm going to post a complete writeup about this project on my blog https://automatedhome.party/.
