SCENE INFORMATION The area measures 50 x 50 kilometers. This model relies on OpenStreetMap data for its setup. The scene has been meticulously prepared for 3ds Max and V-Ray Next rendering. High-quality images were produced using V-Ray Next software. It's essential to note that the asset can still be used with older V-Ray versions, but users may experience varying results due to compatibility differences. The preview images displayed are actual render-outputs. This asset uses real-world scales as its basis for construction. Available export formats include collapsed meshes. For additional support or inquiries, kindly reach out to our team. DISCLAIMER This asset is specifically designed for use in 3ds Max with V-Ray rendering software. All materials incorporated within the model are optimized using V-Ray's extensive material options. Similarly, all light sources utilized throughout the scene are also created as V-Ray lights. Please be aware that V-Ray material settings might not accurately translate to exported file formats. For this reason, usage of this asset in other software and renderers is not supported by our team. However, we cannot guarantee uniform results across different rendering applications. The artist responsible for creating this model will provide limited support for using this asset with other software or renderers. GEOMETRY This model's structural layout has been simplified through a collapsed stack. Every object included in the scene features well-defined and organized layer names. Users can find these layers conveniently categorized within folders (buildings, highway, railroad, water). Review the provided preview images to better understand this structure. Unfortunately, due to restrictions imposed by OSM data limitations or missing information, not all residential houses and buildings are included within the model. To visualize which areas are fully covered by the asset, refer to the preview images supplied. Additionally, keep in mind that key landmarks were omitted from the final product as their full detail wasn't captured by the available OSM import. Please note that this model lacks depth information since it is designed using a flat layout (2D). Regarding trees, they contribute significantly to polycount and vertex counts: 1,275,200 polygons and 6,694,802 vertices respectively. For those who might be interested in tweaking their tree appearances, these objects have been set up as boxes for user modification purposes. To clarify further, all components of the model are situated at the coordinates (0, 0, 0) on a designated V-Ray plane. However, this plane will not be included within the exported file package. MATERIALS This scene extensively utilizes V-Ray's advanced material library to bring visual authenticity to its various objects and settings. Each map applied is contained in a dedicated zip archive file for easy reference. As an additional note, UV unwrapping isn't performed on the model due to specific export considerations; UVW Map Modifier has been employed as an alternative solution. LIGHT SETUP V-Ray sun and sky elements are meticulously configured throughout this scene for optimized lighting and depth. During rendering, linear workflow techniques were employed to achieve realistic color representation and consistency across the visual landscape.
