This is a customized duct for the Rostock Max that skillfully guides airflow without overly limiting airflow from a 30mm fan. I experimented extensively, refining each design variation before printing the next iteration. The result is this streamlined version, which provides optimal performance. Update: Since 2/18/15 - The UNTESTED version features a rounded edge to prevent it from dragging against the print bed's bottom edge, eliminating any potential problems that may arise when using binder clips for big prints. To minimize the risk of damage, I'll be printing an updated version and plan to replace this design with a more reliable one soon. This fan duct can be used on both Rostock Max v1 and v2 models, ensuring smooth airflow for either variant. Simply attach your 30mm fan securely with screws, and you're ready to go! PLA prints work fine if you only print in PLA, but if you switch to ABS and intend to keep the design intact, using ABS material will provide a more durable result.
