This is a custom remix of the Wide Mouth Mason Jar Ring / Band, featuring a few key mods that improve its overall fit and performance. The sharp points have been chamfered to provide a better seal, resulting in a ring that fits more snugly on the jar. However, it still leaks slightly when turned upside down due to water seeping out of the threads. To resolve this issue, I recommend using a Mason Jar Washer to create a tighter seal. This modification should prevent any leakage and ensure the lid stays securely in place. I've repurposed these rings for use with my MoJo Monkey M&M's Dispenser, which requires a wide mouth mason jar as its candy holder. The ring threads allow it to screw into the top of the monkey's head seamlessly. Originally designed for a smaller Nutella glass container, I was concerned that the dispenser might not hold up if someone picked it up by the glass and shook it vigorously. This could cause all the M&M's to spill out everywhere. Since I don't consume Nutella, I didn't have access to this type of jar. Fortunately, I discovered a plastic container that fits perfectly on the monkey head, allowing me to use it for my first run without any issues. The lid holds firmly in place and doesn't leak even when picked up by hand.
