Wide Mouth Funnel

<h3>Why?:</h3><p>All my funnels have narrow throats and do not have any grooves to allow air to easily escape the bottle as it fills. This is especially noticeable if you are using filters with viscous liquids.</p><p>Due to having narrow throats they also wobble when placed in a bottle with a wide mouth. This results in instability if the flow rate is slow (heavy, viscous liquids such as photopolymer resin) and the liquid fills the funnel faster than it can flow into the bottle. This makes the funnel top heavy and more likely to tip and spill.</p><p>I needed a wide mouth funnel that sits in a wide mouth bottle snuggly while not impeding the flow of liquid, without getting liquid all over the bottle threads or becoming unstable if it becomes top heavy.</p><h3>Features:</h3><p>This funnel also has three handy tabs 120 degrees part with holes so if you wish to hang it up or suspend it during use so it doesn't tip.</p><p>The inner throat is angled to assist in drip run off.</p><p>The wall thickness should not require any infill. Only a small amount of infill is required where the bottle opening sleeve is connected to the funnel wall.</p><p>PETG is preferred as it is less brittle than PLA and can be used with hot liquids if desired.</p><p>The included gcodes were generated using PrusaSlicer 2.4.0. You should ensure your printer is on the latest firmware before using these, or roll your own using the provided STL.</p><p>I have included a fuzzy skin gcode option, I am interested to see if this increases the stiffness of the funnel due to the random surface. Please let me know if you decided to print this version and how you get on. (spoiler, its looks cool and seems to add a little stiffness.)</p><p>The Fusion360 file is included so you can adjust for different bottle diameters and/or sleeve depths.</p><h3>Important Notes:</h3><h4>Supporting different neck width bottles.</h4><p>Before you print anything, Open the included 3mf project file and manipulate the model so that you only print the section that fits onto your bottle. I have included some additional photographs.<br>The bottle used in my example fits this models funnel throat section perfectly with adequate diameter clearance, This means I can then print the whole model with confidence knowing it will fit my bottle.</p><p>If it doesn't fit your bottle, you will need to open and edit the f3d file to adjust the funnel object based on your bottles measurements.</p><h4>Use with photopolymer resins.</h4><p>Wipe the internal surface of the funnel with liquid resin and then cure it to seal the surface to make it smooth and impermeable. This will make it much easier to clean and rinse for reuse.</p>
