Wide angle / fish eye front panel for ZeroBot Pro
thingiverse
I wanted to construct the ZeroBot Pro with a wide angle camera I already had on hand. To accommodate this, I updated the front panel for that specific purpose. The camera features 5 MP resolution and a 175-degree wide angle lens, which I find particularly appealing given the robot's compact design. However, mounting it all together requires glue and double-sided tape, although screws are used to secure both outer shell parts in place. Taking the approach of clicking parts together, I added small fingers to hold the camera circuit board firmly in position. Additionally, I applied hot glue for extra stability while securing the LED's into place. Check out the accompanying photos, which include a comparison of the original and four prototype panels.
