I carefully clipped away bits from the original to see what I could squeeze into my pioneer head unit without setting off its CD detector. Eventually, I trimmed it down to a point where it would pass as an unadorned disc. Taking a page from the same playbook, I similarly chopped away identical chunks from the model, this time widening its base to snugly fill that troublesome CD slot while providing additional structural integrity in the process. Furthermore, I beefed up and refined the cellphone tray; my phone fit in with only millimeters to spare when not encased. Miraculously, everything still worked like a charm! My custom modifications now boast an interior depth of 3/8 inch at its edges, span an impressive 5 and 1/4 inches in width, and remain reassuringly secure at 1/2 inch in depth overall
