My granddaughter's wicker Easter basket was more than just a childhood toy; it had become an heirloom item cherished by my little girl since her mother brought it home when she was only one or two years old. A decade later, disaster struck when one of the handles came loose from the basket. At that point, the basket had transcended its original purpose and had become a treasured keepsake for my granddaughter. Like many children, my granddaughter believes that you can fix anything with glue. I had to break it to her gently that this wasn't the case with broken wicker, especially when it came to attaching a new handle assembly to the basket.
