*** UPDATE *** I would have been fired as a prop designer because the 3D printed parts pictured are not correct to the original. The Placard is in the wrong place. I have fixed this and the current STL files have the placard in the correct location. The rendering and painted part shows how the current files should look. *** UPDATE *** I thought it would be cool to make a toothpaste dispenser/squeezer using a steam roller so I chose the Who Framed Roger Rabbit steam roller. I was originally going to paint it but then after sanding I thought it looked pretty good just roughed up kind of like the original steam roller. I may paint one in the future. There is a little bit of support in the orientation that I printed the parts as shown in the pictures. The orientation makes for the strongest parts and is optimized as much as possible to cut down print time. You will need to glue together some of the parts. The pictures show where to glue. I used quick set two part JB weld. This stuff works great for 3D printed parts. Don't use too much because it will ooze. When attaching the front hubs to the front roller put the JB weld closer to the edge of the larger diameter so glue does not get in the axle hole. I also used a drill bit close to the size of the axle hole as a guide when gluing. Would love to see pictures of your print.
