MTU MSE4777 Educational Aid Assignment This educational aid showcases how varying the number of teeth affects gear output. The kit comes with two gear variations, one with a handle and one without. The handled version is designed for turning gears on a whiteboard. All gears can be printed without support material. Each gear requires a 10mm x 3mm round neodymium magnet. Zach Arnold and Drew Vincent created this design. This aid demonstrates key aspects of gears in series configurations. It attaches conveniently to any magnetic surface, allowing for various setups. Each gear has markings to visualize turning speed. The gears have a uniform pitch of 2.5mm, with teeth ranging from 14 to 40 in increments of two. Printing the entire kit takes approximately 12 hours. The material cost is roughly $6 USD per set of prints.
