White Rabbit with Quarz Clockwork
thingiverse
When I first laid eyes on this incredible model from Reddadsteve, I immediately knew this would be the perfect timepiece for my living room. I printed all the components of the rabbit at 150% scale without any issues, except for two exceptions: I printed the Body_Pin at 160% scaling, but adjusted its length accordingly, and I printed the Glasses_Lenses at 145% using Clear PETG material. Next, I completely re-designed the watch to accommodate a Quartz clockwork mechanism (measuring 55.8x55.8x15.4mm). I removed the clockwork from an affordable 3€ timepiece. As you can see, there are two versions available - V1 features a round top and worked for me, but requires supports; on the other hand, V2 boasts a square cover that I believe is superior, although I haven't tested it yet! I reused some of the original watch's components at 150% scale: specifically, I used: -watch_rim1 -watch_rim2 -watch_face (I enlarged its hole to 6.5mm) -numbers One problem arose when you could see the clockwork through the thin watch_face (crafted from glow-in-the-dark PLA). To rectify this issue, I placed a sheet of paper behind it.
