White Caterthun hillfort, Angus, was captured using aerial photographs from 1997. The hilltop is capped by a massive stone fort, its walls towering several metres high and reinforced by sturdy timbers. Large quantities of stone rubble are scattered across an area of 20m wide. Inside the walled enclosure lies what appears to be a rock-cut well or cistern. Beyond the stone wall, the remains of slightly earthen ramparts can be seen.
