Whistling Bottle Rocket
myminifactory
A revision of My previous Publication .PLEASE READ ME . Slightly tougher parts to survive crash Landing. Fin cone Includes a flange wich is intended to engage with Launch gantry Claws the revision of which I wil Publish soon. I ran out of Bike Inner tubes with Shrader Valves that I could use for the previous Bung. I bought a bunch of TR414 valves intended for Car Wheels, very cheaply and printed the Bungs with the cheap version of TPU which worked very well. The bung shoud be quite tight in the neck of the Bottle if not can be scaled on your printer by .005 or so iether way to get a good fit. The bung swells a bit when you push the TR414 in. Use a little vasaline to ease this process it will be absorbed by the natural rubber and make an excelent seal. I offer the bung up and pump the bottle a couple of times to make it stiff then push the bung in fully. The Rocket shoud launch itself about 2 to 3 Bar. Do not get any more adventurous than that if there are kids about. The rocket shout go about 100 foot and not destroy itself on landing. Half a Tennis ball is taped on to make a shock absorbing Nose Cone which adds a little balast. The whistle is a new addition so I hope It works for you. It should be fixed to the fin so the mouth is parallel to the ground so it slices the air on the way up . Note: There seem to be different lengths of bottle kneck these days . I makes no difference for this one but you should select the longer kneck for Gantry launcher. I printed the whole set with a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.3mm layer height.
