Whistles

Summary 3D printable whistles print mostly without support. Instructions I created these whistles for my daughters, and so far they work for me, but the girls struggle to get enough air through them to produce a sound. The pea components didn't function as intended in my first print, so I removed them from future versions. I'm tweaking these designs to make them usable by my daughters. It's fascinating to hear how the added volume affects the tone. Print these whistles with the mouthpiece facing upwards, requiring only minimal support during printing. Whistle03_50pc is a scaled-down version of Whistle02, and it works well for my daughters. However, the tone produced by this design is quite high-pitched. The tube-shaped whistles are tricky to print consistently while printing vertically, so I'm working on a solution. I've added a tongue to these designs, but they still don't produce a good sound. If you block the end of the whistle with your finger while blowing, it produces a mediocre tone. More updates will be available soon. These whistles were designed using 123d Design.
