Whistle with Solidworks 2014 source
thingiverse
This is an EXTREMELY loud and piercing whistle, and I've included the Solidworks 2014 source code as well. Try the one without the pea (or print with the pea and separate it afterwards) and get ready to experience temporary hearing loss. The picture of the whistle shown has no Lanyard hook; however, using the provided source will show you where to remove it if you'd like a design similar to this. The walls are 1mm thick, resulting in a remarkably light whistle, which was precisely my goal. Despite being very thin, the pea remains easily detachable from the wall. At someone's request, I have added a .STEP file. For users attempting to print the version with the Lanyard hook, they may require additional support; but this support should NOT be included inside the whistle. This is where current open-source slicers fail to meet our needs due to an inability to selectively tell them what areas require support and what don't. Fortunately, Simplify3D wins in this regard, despite being costly and closed-source.
