Whistle with pea and lanyard loop
thingiverse
I remixed DarkAlchemist's Whistle with Solidworks 2014 source, which features a pea inside - an outstanding design. I added a lanyard loop that doesn't require any support. This is my go-to print when introducing people to my 3D printer because its shape is familiar; they get to see long bridges on the final layers (bridging is very impressive); and when it's done, you pop the whistle off the bed, put it in their hand, and enjoy the look of amazement on their face when they blow on it for the first time. This whistle is also a more practical color-test object than a boring old cube. I do a lot of fieldwork with students and volunteers, and I just give each of them one of these whistles; it doesn't matter if they lose them or take them home. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: Any Post-Printing Push the pea to free it from the whistle's wall. Changelog 20 Feb 2016 Initial release.
