Whisper foiling catamaran wand parts
thingiverse
The Whisper Foiling Catamaran uses wands as ride height sensors to dynamically control the foil lift. Periodically, parts of this wand system break, making it convenient to print them yourself. To produce an entire wand, you will need: * A 1-meter-long carbon rod (CFK) with a diameter of 8mm, which needs to be cut to 830mm in length. * A 3D-printed paddle for the lower end of the wand. * A 3D-printed arm for the top part of the wand. * Two stainless steel screws, each measuring 3mm by 10mm or longer. These can be trimmed to the desired length. The print material used must be stronger than PLA, so I opt for ASA instead. Additional replacement parts related to the wand system include: * A lever inside the foil ride height mechanism. Updates: * August 26, 2018: The wand arm was updated to mount the rod screw from the side.
