This is a replacement part for Whisper foiling catamarans ride height T part, printed laid down to benefit from increased strength compared to the original. As a trade-off, it requires printing with supports. To achieve enough strength, I recommend printing in FormFutura ASA (ApolloX) material, which offers UV, warmth and water resistance. This version does not use a metal thread insert like the original but receives threads directly in plastic using an M8 thread-cutting tool, so be sure to check out print settings below for robust threads. * Supports should come from bottom up only, with no supports needed for the M8 hole * Ensure it's printed horizontally * I recommend approximately 2.8mm shell/roof/floor * Use an M8 thread cutter * Clean out the 9mm hole for arms with a 9mm drill There is now a version available with a Stainless Helicoil metal insert, but whether this insert is required when using the print method and material as mentioned above remains unclear. To install it, you'll need M8x1.25xD3 Helicoil kits like those found on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Rocaris-Thread-M8-x1-25mm-Compatible-Repairing/dp/B07F18GHZG/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=helicoil+m8&qid=1573300343&sr=8-6, along with long enough stainless helicoils.
