If you've purchased a Whisker City Mini Cat Tower & Cushioned Perch, you might have noticed that the upper bowl can become quite unstable. This is because it relies on a single screw for support and is made from fragile styrofoam. In our case, the styrofoam collapsed within a month due to excessive strain. We decided to replace it, which led us to design a stabilizing device to alleviate some of the pressure off the screw and styrofoam. If you're one of the customers who bought this product without noticing its 1-star rating on Petsmart, this support might be just what you need. I made mine from PLA+, but any stiff filament should work perfectly well. After installing it for a few days, we've noticed a significant improvement in stability. It took around 14 hours to print using my Ender 3 and slicing the model with Cura 4.3 at 100 mm/s and .2 layer height. You might be able to get away with less infill, depending on your specific needs. We used approximately 93 meters of filament in total.
