Whirlpool Fridge Drawer Holder
thingiverse
This replacement drawer rail fits Whirlpool fridges with ice makers, including the "American Fridge" model from 2012. However, it may also work for other Whirlpoll models - check the pictures to see if they match yours. If so, there's a good chance this is the right part. I created this replacement part because the original rails broke after years of use due to their hard plastic construction. To strengthen them where they were prone to failure, I designed and printed four new rails: two in red for meat and two in green for vegetables. They've been in service for six months without any problems. The original parts cost 40 euros each, and you'll likely need more than one - I had three broken out of four. I printed these parts on my CR10 using PLA because it's a food-safe plastic. While the part doesn't come into contact with food, ABS is also technically acceptable. However, PLA is easier to print. This large part can warp at the ends even with PLA, so make sure you have good bed adhesion. If you need the right rail, simply flip the provided left one on the X-axis to get the right one. One more thing: there's a cold air vent under one of the rails in my fridge, which is why I created two versions - one with an opening for it and one without. The hole reduces strength slightly, but not much.
