This update does the same thing but I added another piece that slides into the other and locks in place. Once locked in place the piece can't be removed easily without drilling them out of the wheel. To make this update work properly, you will need to align the holes up between the male and female parts. Insert the female part through the wheel and then insert the male part on the other side of the wheel. Then you will need use a plump pliers(Channellocks) or another tool to squeeze the two parts together in order to lock the male to the female part. I've run eight dishwasher cycles so far and the pins are currently holding.
