Whirligig
thingiverse
Introducing a DIY flying gadget: the Whirligig! This printable object flies like a helicopter when spun by hand, similar to its wooden toy predecessor. Watch it in action here: http://youtu.be/Ly2nxN80kGs. The assembling process is breeze - no glue needed, just snap the pieces together and fly! For smooth surfaces, print the wings without a raft. However, ensure stability by printing other tall parts with a raft. Attach each wing into one hole on Base1, build platform side down, ensuring a snug fit. Be cautious while handling as tabs can break off if twisted too hard. Add stability during flight by connecting the shaft of Base1 to that of Base2 using Connector. To operate, spin between your hands counter-clockwise and release for fun! Enjoy your Whirligig!
