Whirligigs, once printed, can be launched either using a stick or by winding string around a nail. For a string launch, you'll need a 3 ft long string with a bowline knot and a 2 inch nail with a flattened tip. Attach the nail to the whirligig handle, followed by the nail adapter and quick release. Wrap the string around the nail clip for easy winding. To launch, tilt at 45 degrees and wind clockwise when viewed from above. For stick launches, simply attach the whirligig to the end of the stick, hold between your hands with flat palms, and swiftly push forward. The whirligig will detach and fly up to 20 ft away. No additional vitamins or materials are required for stick launching. Both methods work well despite printers' challenges with bridges and inclines.
