Whippersnapper Front and Rear Contact Bumpers

The basic bumper consists of four parts that need to be assembled together carefully. To do this, you'll require some momentary contact switches, a few small hardware components, and two tiny springs. The pictures accompanying this text should provide all the necessary information for assembling the bumper properly. A special drill guide, the fifth stl file, is used to precisely locate the two 1/8" (3mm) holes in the rear of the robot's top plate where you'll mount the bumper assembly. This essential part of the robot measures 8 inches wide and a mere 1/16 inch thick, making it flexible enough that only one side can move if the contact is made on just one side. As a result, each bumper has three potential conditions: left contact, right contact, or full contact. With this flexibility, you can program the robot to handle these three distinct situations.
