Hi, I'm taking this route to let you know that I've shifted much of my work over to https://www.wargaming3d.com/vendor/deweycatproductions/. This change doesn't alter my affection for the hobby or my desire to share with the community. Every file created as a derivative or re-work is available for free download on this site, along with my original work; much of it is also free, but some .stls are for sale. I repeatedly test print my work to ensure it prints properly, incurring costs beyond just my time. I don't think $3 to $5 for an .stl is excessive, considering the time and expenses involved in creating them. Thingiverse is a great sharing platform, but its administrators have failed to protect creators, as evident from recent DMCA attacks. I've tried to communicate with Thingiverse without receiving even a courtesy response to my emails. I hope you'll continue interacting with me; I have more developments on the horizon. For instance, the attached file is a Soviet Maxim MMG I created to mount on a Soviet truck's bed. There's a recess under the post for installing a short paper clip length; use a pin drill to create a matching hole in the truck bed, allowing easy addition and removal of an MMG when employing a truck as a Soviet player.
