Wheels for Mini Track Loader RC
thingiverse
I haven't tried flexible filament yet, but my Lego tracks are on their way, so I decided to make some wheels using the original models. The tiny bumps are almost as small as they can be with a 0.2mm layer height and a 0.4mm nozzle. In retrospect, I should have made the outer diameter bigger so it would have similar clearance to the track. Whoops! If you're willing to edit it, I'll also add the .step file. It might be a pain with all those small bumps on it... Maybe scale it up and then shrink the servo and screw parts? If you do, please share it back here so the next person won't have to. By the way, there are some really fun things to print with this model. I made a game where players try to clear out all the obstacles with this mini loader, and here are the parts I used (it was for a fall party): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:535261 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1172834 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1836056 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33138 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2333971 We gave the players 1 minute, and most of them cleared about half. It was a huge hit. I scaled them up a bit to around 10-15mm high. I clipped the bottom of the companion cube, crates, and pumpkins so they would print more easily. Overall, I've had a lot of fun with this little RC mini track loader, thanks to Zedpi! Editing the servos was definitely the hardest part, but after that, it's been great! All from spare parts in my basement, thank you!
