Wheelchair Door Wand

Here is my concept for a Wheelchair Door Assist Wand.The wand has a hook to reach out and grab a door handle to help open the door without leaning out of the wheelchair too far.Once the door is open, the cam style door wedge on the end of the wand can be inserted under the door then released to hold the door open so the user has both hands free to operate the wheelchair.Once through the door, the slack can be taken out of the auto retractable wand (Similar to an auto retractable dog leash) pulling the cam mechanism, releasing the door wedge with ease to return to the tip of the wand ready to be used again.
