Wheelchair Door Opener Case
thingiverse
This is a case for a remote door opener, designed for a client that does not have the physical ability to press a button to open their front door. The design is intended for a modified handicapped door operator that can be seen on nearly any building with accessibility. The hardware from these devices uses a similar framework to the programming provided to wheelchair joysticks of the same manufacturer, allowing us to splice into the transmitter and use the joystick to serve as a binary input. It is recommended that these parts are printed in PETG, or any material with a heat resistance on par with PETG. Based on user feedback, other variants or versions may become available, as I have time. These parts are meant to be free, and I want this to be able to theoretically help as many people as possible. Should anyone want a greater level of control over the model in order to make a version more suitable to their specific needs, please leave a comment, and I can get into contact with you to send the .blend file or potentially the 123D CAD files.
