Wheelchair Cupholder

Wheelchair Cupholder

Important Update: This design is optimized for use on a Stratasys-style powder-bed printer, but printing it with FDM can require excessive support. I've uploaded an improved version specifically for FDM printing, requiring no support at all: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1204700. A versatile cupholder designed for my wife's Quickie P222 wheelchair works perfectly for regular cups and glasses as well as larger coffee mugs. The side-mounted opening makes it effortless to insert and remove stemmed wine glasses. This iteration is tailored to securely lock into a swing-away arm. This model was created using Fusion 360, and can be accessed here: • A360: http://a360.co/1Qq4SLg • Fusion 360 Gallery: https://gallery.autodesk.com/fusion-360/projects/wheelchair-cupholder • Attached STEP file: cupholder_swing_away.stp The swing-away arm is compatible with the Qtronix joystick, with part numbers 882696 for right-hand and 882697 for left-hand models. If you already own one, the swing-away assembly can be disassembled and reversed. You can find more information here: https://www.quickie-wheelchairs.com/wheelchair-parts/sunrise-medical/quickie-p222-se/electronics/qtronix-electronics/swing-away-round-arm-joystick-mount-qtronix Since new swing-away arm units are pricey, please contribute your ideas for alternative mounting options.
