Wheelchair Cup Holder - Zip Tie Attachment

My mother needed a secure cup holder to attach to her wheelchair so she could hold her coffee mug while walking the dogs or simply cruising around the house. I designed this cup holder to attach to her armrest tubing, and it can easily work in multiple locations. To keep things simple during prototyping, I chose to use zip ties, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. Since the bottom of the holder rests on a bracket, and even with tight zip ties, it swivels smoothly around the round tube. This design also allows for easy installation on different types of chairs by fitting in various spots. The cup holder has an inner diameter of 92mm at the top and 70mm at the base, making it suitable for most to-go coffee mugs without handles that we have at home.
